Each week, you are given a handful of challenges to complete - each giving you XP to help level the Battle Pass. If you complete all the challenges within a given week, you are given a bonus Ultimate Reward. However, accessing and completing challenges aren’t as straightforward or as accessible as it might seem - which this page will delve into, including how to complete weekly challenges In Halo Infinite and why some weekly challenges aren’t tracking or completing. On this page: Here is where things get a little confusing. On this screen is a list of ‘active’ challenges - one daily challenge, and three or four weekly challenges (if you have the Premium Battle Pass, you have the full four active challenges available). Only these on this screen can be completed for now; to see the other ‘upcoming’ challenges, view the Challenges screen then press the Y button again. By completing ‘active’ challenges, you will rotate in ‘upcoming’ challenges, until the list is complete. Once you have completed the entire roster of Weekly Challenges, you will then get the Ultimate Reward - which can be seen on the right side of the Challenges screen. What this means is you can only progress three or four weekly challenges at a time, rotating in new challenges as you complete them - including any event challenges, such as from the Fracture: Tenrai event - until you finish the entire list. It’s also - aside from XP from daily challenges - the only way to progress through the Battle Pass. It’s an unclear, slow and frustrating system, compounded further by playlists at launch featuring multiple mode types, meaning certain challenges (capturing a flag, killing an enemy holding a ball) require waiting for the right mode to show up. (Thankfully, ranked matches also count towards weekly challenge progress.) Thankfully, developer 343 is “making targeted tunings” to Battle Pass progression during the opening weeks of the beta - including removing some weekly challenge types, adjusting their difficulty and other things to help “speed up your progress” in general - hopefully making progress much smoother: If weekly challenges aren’t tracking in Halo Infinite, then this is likely why - it’s because the challenge you want to complete isn’t currently active. However, the community has noted certain challenges simply aren’t tracking even when active, which appears to be one of several types of bug players have encountered during the beta (we played a game of Total Control where one control point wouldn’t register for either team, for example). Developer 343 is aware of this - and is “fixing bugs” alongside the progression changes outlined earlier on this page. This is a consumable you can earn through the Battle Pass, or buying with in-game currency from the store, which allows you to replace an active challenge completely - one that isn’t even in your ‘upcoming’ challenge pool. Note that challenges swapped will also be of the same difficulty and XP reward as the one you are replacing. At launch, between bugs preventing some challenges from being completed, and the upcoming weekly challenge reset to progression, we recommend saving your Challenge Swaps during after the beta period to prevent them going to waste.
