Despite only having a one-star difficulty, it has seen many players stumped. There are two main challenges here - one is finding a Stone to carry with you to the end, and the other is getting past a high wall that seemingly won’t let you or the Stone pass through - and our Buried Stones solution will explain how to do both. Let’s start by finding the Stone. Play through the level as normal, going past all the Thwomps, until you get to a pipe that spits out a Yoshi egg. Get on Yoshi, and head back the way you came, past the Thwomps. Near the start of the level is a row of yellow blocks elevated above a ledge. If you look to the upper right, you’ll see a lighter coloured Stone in the wall. Using Yoshi’s tongue - the Y button - you can jump up and grab that Stone from the wall. You know you’ve been successful when the ‘goal’ flag appears above Mario. With the Stone in Yoshi’s mouth, play through the level again until you reach a high wall with several music notes underneath. To get past this, spit out the Stone on the furthest musical note, which will cause this to bounce up and down continuously. Jump on that bouncing Stone, then at the highest point, leap up, so both you and Yoshi are on the upper platform. Now to get the Stone, drop down the step on the right, look left, and use your tongue again to go through the wall and pick up the bouncing Stone. With the wall passed and the Stone in your possession, it’s now a simple case of progressing to the end of the level. Watch out for the final Thwomp! Stumped on other Mario Maker 2 levels?
